  1. Population and dissenters: There are in the Parish of Churstow 38 Families all Members of the Church of England (one Person excepted.)
    There are in the Parish of Kingsbridge 174 Families
    Church-Families 132
    Presbiterian – 26 having a licenc'd Meeting House John Walker Preacher.
    Anabaptist – 9 – a licenced Meeting House Crispin Curtis Preacher.
    Quakers – 7 – a licenced Meeting House Jacob Philipps Preacher.

  2. Public or charity schools: There is no School kept in the Parish of Churstow.
    There is <in> the Town of Kingsbridge a Charity & Publick <Grammar> School, endow'd by one Mr Crispin; in which at present are eleven Children taught by me, whom I carefully instruct in the Church-Catechism for their Foundation in Religion, & bring them duly to Church as the Canon requires.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There are in the Parish of Churstow some Lands left for the Repairs of the Church and the Relief of the Poor. The <Direction> of them is in Feoffees. I don't know nor have I heard of any Abuses or Frauds committed in the Management of them. There are in the Parish of Kingsbridge Lands of a considerable Value left for the Repair of the Church and Relief of the Poor. The Direction of them is in Feoffees.   4. Residence upon cure: There is in the Parish of Churstow a very small Vicarage House, wherein no Vicar or Curate has <been> known to reside for some ages past. I reside in Mr Crispin's School House abovementioned.

  5. Curate: I have no Curate.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I perform Divine Service at no Church besides Churstow & Kingsbridge.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Divine Service is perform'd at Churstow once every Lord's Day, with a Sermon & likewise on some Holy Days.
    Divine Service is perform'd at Kingsbridge twice every Lord's Day with a Sermon in the Morning and Afternoon, & likewise on some Holy Days, and Divine Service is perform'd every Fryday & Holy Day throughout the year. A Lecturer performs Divine Service & preaches once every Lord's Day & the first Wednesday in every Month throughout the year.

  8. Frequency of communion: The Holy Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is administred <in the Church> of Churstow & likewise <in the Church> of Kingsbridge four times in the year.

  9. Number of communicants: There are in the Parish of <Churstow> 25 Communicants, of which Number about 20 usually receive. 22 or 23 communicated at Easter last past. There are in the Parish of Kingsbridge about 65 Communicants whereof between 50 & 60 usually receive & near the full Number of them communicated at Easter last past.

  10. Catechising of children: The Children are catechiz'd in the Churches of Churstow and Kingsbridge every other Sunday in the Afternoon for three Months in the Summer time; during which time most of the Children in both Parishes are sent to me to be instructed.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: There is no Chapel within either of my Parishes.
